Lala lifting a small dumbbell, then lying on a red sofa: a little exercise, a very good rest.

加油, then a little lie-down: meet Aya & Friends

I have a soft spot for a panda who gives his workout a fair try, then lies down on the sofa with the dumbbells still beside him.

That is Lala. In another sticker, he is on his feet cheering you on: 加油.

I like having both. Some days you want to send a friend a little encouragement. Other days, “let me lie down for a minute” is the most accurate thing you could possibly say.

These are part of Aya & Friends, the sticker collection I made for LazyingArt. There is Lala the panda, Aya the red panda, Sasa in his panda hoodie, and Zhuangzi the robot. Their world is mostly ordinary things: waking up, going out, getting through work, saving someone a snack, and being happy to see them.

The same little cheer, in three languages

I wanted to keep the characters familiar while making the words useful in different conversations. The collection has Chinese, English and Japanese lettering, so you can choose the version that fits the person you are talking to.

Here is Lala’s encouragement in all three:

加油 You got this がんばれ

“You got this” is the feeling I wanted here: a friend beside you, giving you a small boost.

Not every message needs a speech

Aya’s little thank-you and the hug are two more favourites. Sometimes a sticker can do what a carefully worded paragraph cannot: keep the conversation light without making it feel cold.

谢谢 · Thank you · ありがとう 抱抱 · Hugs · ぎゅー

I put the collections in a small shop at aya.lazying.art. You can watch the animations, change the sticker language, and download individual GIFs. A pack purchase includes the Chinese, English and Japanese ZIPs; the total is shown before payment.

Browse the collections and choose the lettering language in the shop.

This is the little world behind WeSticker: Aya & Friends, which I am also building. The shop is the part you can use now.

Start with whichever mood fits today. Lala has both the 加油 and the sofa covered.
