The historical context below is not proof that 51poll still runs a survey-rewards program, is still operated by the same entity, or still makes payouts.

The old referral links show a potential commercial conflict, but the surviving records are not enough to establish whether the author received a reward or what its terms were. The current version has no 51poll sign-up link or referral code, and a reader's decision about 51poll produces no referral income for this article.

Verification results as of September 1, 2026

I revisited 51poll, CIIC's current website, and the relevant official lookup portals. Only limited conclusions are supported:

For that reason, this page no longer provides login, registration, or redemption instructions, and it does not link to the old referral URL. Based on the available evidence, the prudent choice is not to log in or submit personal information until the operator, valid HTTPS, current terms, privacy policy, and redemption process can each be verified.

What the 2011 article recorded

The old article described 51poll as “CIIC Kooma,” a platform where people could reportedly collect points through surveys, community activities, posts, and member referrals, then exchange those points for prizes or cash. This only summarizes what the article claimed at the time. I do not now have enough first-party evidence to confirm how those programs and rules were implemented then, much less whether they remain valid today.

Keeping the original publication date and URL gives old links an honest context; it is not an invitation to recruit new members. If you arrived from a search result, old email, or forum post, do not reuse an old password or submit data based on an old screenshot or article.

A current checklist for survey and rewards sites

Whatever a site is called, complete these checks before deciding whether to participate.

1. Verify the operator, not just the brand

2. Check the connection and account security first

  • A login page should use HTTPS that passes normal browser validation. Do not bypass certificate warnings or enter passwords on HTTP pages.
  • Use a unique password for each site and enable multi-factor authentication when available.
  • Do not install an unknown app, browser extension, or remote-access tool, and never give a “support agent” a verification code, password, or payment authorization.

3. Write down every reward condition

Before participating, save a dated copy of the current terms and check:

  • how points are earned, when they expire, and whether screening failures can invalidate them;
  • the conversion rate, minimum threshold, fees, supported countries or regions, and payment methods;
  • account freezes, survey disqualification, dispute handling, and rule-change clauses; and
  • whether the platform promises fixed income or “easy money.” Actual returns depend on eligibility, time spent, successful redemption, and costs—not an advertising figure alone.

Stop if a platform asks you to pay, top up an account, buy cryptocurrency, or complete more “tasks” to unlock supposed earnings. Current U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidance on side-hustle and task scams also identifies high rewards for little work, time pressure, and paying money to get paid as common warning signs. A police warning republished by the Cyberspace Administration of China likewise says not to trust promises of easy, high commissions, advance money to strangers, or disclose bank-card, password, and payment information.

4. Provide only the minimum data needed for the task

China's Personal Information Protection Law requires a clear and reasonable purpose for processing personal information and limits collection to the minimum scope needed for that purpose. Before answering a survey, you should understand what is collected, why, how long it is retained, who receives it, how to withdraw consent, and how to access, correct, or delete it.

Be especially careful with identity documents, precise location, financial accounts, medical information, and children's data. If an ordinary survey asks for a bank password, one-time verification code, or an identity-document photo unrelated to the research purpose, leave rather than continuing for points.

5. Validate the process with one small test

  • Read the terms and recent notices first. Do not let a countdown, quota, or direct-message prompt rush the decision.
  • Record the terms version, participation date, support ticket, and redemption status, but do not keep passwords, full identity numbers, or payment credentials in screenshots.
  • Reconsider the time and privacy cost only after one low-risk test works and the exit and deletion paths are clear.
  • If identities do not match, rules suddenly change, or a fee is demanded before withdrawal, stop, revoke permissions, change any reused password, and contact the payment provider or regulator through an official channel.

The current conclusion on 51poll

A domain still existing is not proof that the old service still exists. I have not independently confirmed 51poll's current operator registration, its relationship with CIIC, survey supply, point value, or ability to redeem rewards. Its connection-security issue also makes logging in an unreasonable risk. I do not recommend registering or using it unless those points are supported by official, reproducible evidence.
